KidsVUe is an open-access e-journal publishing scientific communication for kids written by members of the Vanderbilt University community. KidVUe was originally established as an outlet for simple scientific writing. Inspired by Frontiers for Young Minds and Alan Alda’s Center for the Communication of Science, we believe that scientific training involves simple, clear, and honest communication. Publications in the journal are reviewed by at least one faculty member at Vanderbilt University and often written as a class assignment. Publications are assigned a doi and can be listed on authors CV’s as non-peer-reviewed publications.
